Aerotech Hybrid Motor Information

Since the tragic fire at the Aerotech factory, hybrid motor production has been suspended. Aerotech is gradually getting motor production going again at their new Utah facility. We are told that hybrids are by no means discontinued, but we understand that the first priority has to be the most popular products in the Aerotech line. We wish Aerotech the best in their long struggle to recover.

If you own Aerotech hybrid equipment, there are a few places that still have reload kits and supplies. Pratt Hobbies and Zeppelin Hobbies are known to have a small stock. Some modelers may be willing to part with their unused supplies; messages posted on our message board, on Rocketry Online, or on rec.models.rockets should be productive.

Todd Moore's beautiful Sonda takes to the air at NYPOWER 2002, with an Aerotech J390 hybrid motor in the booster and J210 hybrid in the upper stage. Perfect flight!
